The release of Laravel Zero 5.7 has been announced the last week. It represents optional installation of queues in Laravel; features humbug/box for quicker application bundling; numerous bug fixes and usability enhancements.
Zero is a customized version of Laravel framework designed to build command line applications. It is based on latest version of Laravel, 5.7.
Queues allow to delay time-consuming or resource intensive processes until later. Queues can be helpful either in large or small applications. You can install this component optionally with the help of app:install command. When installation is complete you get access to make:job command and workers. Laravel Zero’s queues work similar to Laravel’s queued jobs.
Humbub/box feature provides faster bundling of applications. The build features uses config file for loading PHAR package settings. Those you can edit on box.json stored in the base path of the project.
